Illumina is a character mentioned in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. She is a goddess who controls Maginaryworld, the Zone from where all dreams originate, where she manages all the dreams using the magical Master Precioustone.^[1]

History[]

At some point, trouble arose when Illumina, in a moment of self doubt, split into and manifested as two aspects of herself. One was Lumina Flowlight, a spirit that embodied all the positive of Illumina. The other was Void, a dark spirit who was the manifestation of Illumina's doubts and the Zone's nightmares.^[1]

After Illumina's split, Void shattered the Master Precioustone, creating the many Precioustones and endangering Maginary World, but Lumina called upon Sonic, Tails, Amy and Knuckles to defeat the threat of Void and restore the Master Precioustone. After the true origin of Lumina and Void was uncovered, the two of them merged and restored Illumina.^[1]
