Akatai

The akatai (アカタイ^[1], akatai^?), also known as the tai (タイ^[1], tai^?), are creatures that appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a red fish that can be caught during fishing.

Description[]

Based off the real-life akadai fish, the akatai are small, red fishes with yellow eyes.

Overview[]

In Sonic Adventure and its enhanced port Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut, the akatai appears as one of the collectible fishes that can be caught during Big the Cat's fishing gameplay. They are fairly common and can only be found in Emerald Coast. Catching one will reward the player with about 800 to 1,600 points.^[1]
