Maybe not simple

"They publicly classified themselves as non-binary".--Simply, but longwinded: In the 2020s Butler said that Butler is a non-binary person.--Suggestions for simple text, for the article? 2001:2020:32D:9981:615F:CD83:73FE:6C00 (talk) 19:32, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

They....

hello all, they may use whatever pronoun they like, that's not an issue. But at simple English we expect grammatically correct English. Whoever reads this expects a singular pronoun (he/she). So the use of the pronoun they needs to be explained. Eptalon (talk) 19:16, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My suggestion for wiki-nutshell: This encyclopedia (generally) does not write "she" or "he", about a person who is binary (a binary person).--Pronouns: in the Judith Butler wiki-article, "he" or "she" should like be avoided.--In regard to transgender Caitlyn Jenner and transgender Chelsea Manning, those two people are referred to as "she", in this encyclopedia.--
