Time Out #91

Hi There

Time for a new challenge at Time Out Challenges. It is our CASE challenge. This time we are honoured to be CASEing the very talented Bev-the owner and designer of Uniko. I know most of you know Bev and her amazing stamps and dies but if not check them out here.

Uniko are sponsoring this challenge with the winner getting a gift voucher to spend in their store-thanks Bev for your support.

Here is my CASE of Bev's card:

And Bev's card:

I went CAS and one layer here. Instead of a multi coloured base used teal coloured card, embossing the gerbera flower stamp from Uniko. A few little extra gold touches and done!

This card was sent to Nonni who celebrated being 21 again last week!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very creative Lucie G. Her card are stunning and I urge you to pop over and have a browse now-you will be inspired.

Now it is your turn to take some TIME OUT and create but before you do, check out how Bev's card has inspired Lucie and the DT at Time Out

Enjoy!

Inkspirational #142

Hi All,

We have a fun challenge for you over at Inkspirational-it is our Designer's choice challenge and my very dear friend Nonni has chosen the theme of:

Oldie but Goodie

This means use any of your old stamps. Perhaps one from when you first started stamping.

I found one of my very first stamp sets and made this:

The shoe stamps came along with a handbag and earrings. I can't remember where they are from.

As it was Nonni's challenge and her favourite colour is blue, I went with navy card and embossed the shoes and sentiment in gold.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Shirley. Her blog is full of inspiring projects. Take a look here and feast your eyes!

Our DT have all been dusting off their old stamps and creating. Take a look here and then have a hunt for those old stamps that need some love and join in with us.

Enjoy!

A Little Note!

Hi All,

Popping in with a card that is a little different for me but was a lot of fun to make. I made it for a friend who is not so well and needs to know I am thinking of her.

All these stamps and dies are from CAS-ual Fridays. I got the background stamp and tag dies yesterday and waited to see what the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays was today. It is Kraft and White and as soon as I saw it I thought it would be perfect to try out this background stamp.

I followed the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch, just moving the position of the sentiment.

The background, flower and sentiment are all heat embossed in white using vellum for the flower and sentiment. I finished it off with wooden and white dots.

I love that background stamp and on kraft I think it looks fab.

Have a fun day x

Good Friends!

Happy Day to all,

I woke at a very silly hour this morning but the good thing about this was I was looking through some new stamps I hadn't used and had a light bulb moment and made this card for a few challenges:

I have used the Sunbeams stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays-I actually wanted to enter it into the 'Friendship' challenge there but am a day late!

I just stamped the sunbeams and then die cut a stitched die, popped this up on foam tape so it looks like the sun is rising!

I used black and orange for the Fusion Challenge.

And took the sunshine inspiration from the beach scene at Calling All Sistahs-an encouragement card for my friend to remind her how she brings sunshine into my life.

I will also enter it into the 'friends' challenge at Addicted to CAS

Time To Relax!

Hi All

It's the weekend and that means it is time to relax as my card for today instructs!

These stamps are all from Verve.

I masked off a square area and then water coloured my sunshine background adding a few splatters for interest. Then a touch of stamping and done!

I would love to be chilling there now!!

Have a relaxing day.

Time Out Challenge #90

Hi There,

We have a new Theme Challenge starting today and the Theme is:

Autumn with the optional twist of Speed Stamping

We are defining speed stamping as making your card in 10 mins or less. This excludes the time you need to plan the design and get all your products ready to make the card.

So get all your cardstock, dies, inks etc ready before you start the clock!

This speed stamping is optional and purely just for fun. We would love you to tell us how long it took you to make your card. We have a prize for all those who choose to speed stamp but this will not be for the fastest just chosen randomly from those who just have a go!

Here is my card

Once I had my stamps (from Altenew) and Inks ready, this took me 8mins and 26 seconds to make. It would have taken about half this time but after finishing stamping it I decided it needed more texture. So very quickly I got out my linen embossing plate and dry embossed it! Good job I always have these tools near by and emboss like this so much, I can do it in my sleep. However I had aimed for 5 mins but because I wanted texture, I didn't make this target!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Elaine and her stunning blog Craft-E-Place is a must to visit. Her designs are always so creative and we are honoured she is joining us for this challenge.

This challenge is sponsored by Happy Little Stampers

All the DT have made super cards for this challenge-some have been speed stamping, some not-you choose!

That Prickly Age!

Hi All

Today my card is for a friend who is about to hit that 'prickly' age of 50!

I thought a little sparkle and shine might ease her into this new decade.

I got the idea of the 'prickly' age from Sherrie's card at CASology and followed the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch.

Here I played with more goodies from my Birthday pack from Jill and had a lot of fun adding dimension and shine and sparkle (Thank you Jill)

I will also enter this into:

You are Terrific

Hello there crafting friends,

Just to let you know you are all terrific!

Goodness me, watercolouring, embossing, die cutting...lots of detail for me but I just loved making it! Plus a square card...very unusal for me and you would laugh if you saw me trying to cut the base card for this!!

All these stamps and dies are from CAS-ual Fridays-Pretty Posies. A new to me set but as soon as I saw the latest 'Friendship' challenge at CAS-ual Firdays I knew I had to break into them.

I had a hunt around my left over water colour stash and found some colours that fitted the Encouragement Challenge at CAS-ual Fridays Calling All Sistahs photo. I went for the yellow and green mix that you can see in my water colour card and popped my circle up by using a thick piece of foam pad so it is floating like the balloon. The purple flower is also popped up so this card will have to be given by hand rather than posted!

The flowers and leaf were heat embossed in white and then die cut. The same with the sentiment.

The sun ray background card is from Birthday stash from Lynn (love this Lynn-thank you)

This card took me a long time to make for me but I have to say I am very happy with it and hope the recipient will be too!

Inkspirational #141

Hi All

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational.
It is our word prompt challenge and the word is:

WAVE

I went with a wavy die and created this Summer themed card:

I water coloured some card with sunshine colours then used this as backing to my wavy die cut panels. The sunglasses are dies and I coloured them with copics. The front panels are linen embossed for texture.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Helen. Her blog is full of inspiring projects. Take a look here. I am sure you will love what you see.

Our DT have all made amazing cards-check them out here and then get inky!

Rainbow Summer Shoes!

Hi All,

Don't you just love shoes??

Today my card is full of Summer open toes shoes, rainbow colours....what is your favourite pair?

For this card I followed the sketch at Fusion.

My colours are from the 'rainbow' challenge at AAA cards.

I chose all open toe shoes so it would fit in the Summer Challenge at The Ton-all these stamps and sentiment are from The Ton-what a cool stamp set!

I couldn't decide what was my fav set but in the end went for the bottom strappy green shoes...I have lots of coloured shoes but green I do not..time to shop I feel!
I would love to know what is your fav???

This is another card for my niece who hits 19 in a few weeks.

I will also enter this into Muse Anything goes challenge

Have a fun weekend.

A Friday Make!

Hi There,

Just popping in with a card I made yesterday for a few challenges:

I had this flower (a gift from Joyce) out on my crafting desk as I wanted to use it for the Curtain Call Challenge as the leaves look more like herbs to me!

Then I saw the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch and knew exactly how to use flower! The curved pierced die edge was a pressie from Nonni and I just linen embossed it so I had the lovely textured look I like. I was going to have the card base coloured but after playing around for a bit, I decided the softly textured white card worked much better.
The sentiment is from Uniko-Flower Power 2

Have a fun Friday

Time Out #89

Hi There

Time for a new challenge at Time Out Challenges. We have a photo challenge today and here is the card I created.

And here is the photo:

21 Ways to Make the Industrial Look Work for You including brick veneer, pallet coffee tables and map walls:

I hadn't made a card for such a long time and then I saw this card by Pia and just loved it. I asked her if I could CASE it for a DT card and with her permission here is my take-a huge thank you to Pia for inspiring me.

This card came at the perfect time as one of my niece's is off on a trip around the world and I thought this would be a fun card to give her. The photo is pretty masculine looking but I went with a feminine touch. I think it is clear I was inspired by the map. There is so much more in this photo that could catch you eye and I am looking forward to seeing what you make.

This challenge is sponsored by STAMPlortations and I have used their stitched border die on my card.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Trinia. I have been following Trinia for a while now and she is so very creative and her blog is so inspiring. Take a look at it here. I know you will love what you see.

Then pop on over to Time Out and you will see what Trinia and our amazing DT have made to inspire you to play.

Enjoy!
