Well the Summer Holidays are almost over, so for this weeks Polka Doodles Digi Choosday project I have made a card for my Son who goes into year 2, his final year of infants school - wow where has the time gone?

One of the things he loves do is make Crystals, so I thought the cute Science Geek would be the perfect image to use.  All the classes in his school are named by colour and he will be going into PINK class, hence the pink background.
I created the sentiment and the DNA strand in Silhouette Studio.



I added some Glossy accents to the Bottles and Glasses, not very visible in the photos

Today I would like to share a card I have made for my Sisters 30th.  She is not a girly girl, so I used a fab image from Make it Crafty  Called Urban Keisha.
 I kept the layout as a single layer with no embellies, as I thought the image was enough.

It's time for a new challenge at Digi Choosday and as usual now it is 'Anything Goes', so no excuse not to join in :)

I started by spraying some watercolor card with a mix of purple and blue inks and once dry some perfect pearls.

I had every intention of doing a conventional square card and then found this small frame I brought some time ago in the pound shop.

So I cut the background down and used the Summertime STAMP ME set to create a dragonfly and also stamps some flowers.  I added a few dots of Stickles around the base of the flowers and a little trail behind the dragonfly.

Happy CHOOSDAY everyone,  I hope you are all feeling better than me, I have been suffering with a very painful ear infection for the last week, just waiting for the Antibiotics to kick in!!

For my Digi Choosday and Inky Pinkies DT inspiration I kept it very simple, as I was finding it hard to concentrate with the chronic head pain!

I chose one of the lovely new Mermaids from the Meribelle Mermaid collection.  With the background already coloured I just had to concentrate on the sweet image.



I coloured with Copics in shades of Blue and Grey and added a sentiment cut in Navy Vinyl and a wave die by Creative Expressions.

Finally I added a hand-tied bow in grey organza.

This week for the first time EVER, I decided to follow a sketch for my card layout, which I found on pinterest bu Mojo Monday.
I started by choosing my papers, they are all from the same paper pack - 1st Edition Summer Breeze.

The image I have used is Dandelion Days from the Winnie fruit punch collection and coloured with Copics & Graph It Markers.

I found a lovely dandelion die by Amy Spring and added a little sparkle and also used a banner die by La-La land.

For the sentiment I cut a speech bubble in silhouette, stamped my sentiment, then distressed the edge.
To finish I added a couple of small butterfly punches and some green pearls.
