Epithet[]
火災 does not mean "Wildfire". "Conflagration" is more accurate. Or simply "Fire". --Klobis (talk) 03:24, November 27, 2018 (UTC)
Does "Wildfire" have a specific term? KingCannon (talk) 15:02, November 27, 2018 (UTC)
There is 山火事, yamakaji(forest fire (on a mountain); wildfire; bushfire).
I would also go for "Conflagration". --JouXIII (talk) 15:39, November 27, 2018 (UTC)
I don't think it needs to be that exact. A wildfire is a naturally caused conglagration, and they are supposed to be natural disasters. Viz also went with "Wildfire". From what I recall Jack's epithet isn't a perfectly literal translation either. Awaikage Talk 18:28, November 28, 2018 (UTC)
In Wikipedia pages, Japanese 火災 = English "Conflagration". Why should we choose another word? --Klobis (talk) 01:03, November 29, 2018 (UTC)
Is King really a "human"?[]
I noticed King is listed as a human, but how do we know for sure (or is that the default race category)? Because his angelic wings resemble those of a Skypian. Yes, he's a pterodactyl, but his transformation didn't have feathers. If he isn't a confirmed human, should that category be there? Gamewizard2008 (talk) 12:55, January 18, 2019 (UTC)
First of all, if any, he is a Birkan because his wings goes downward. Second, we don't know if the wings aren't just part of his attire. And third, yes, humans are the default, so unless stated otherwise, even the characters with horns are categorized as humans. Rhavkin (talk) 13:12, January 18, 2019 (UTC)
Considering his wings are confirmed white, should he now be categorized as a Sky Islander or something similar? MrBrutus (talk) 02:28, July 7, 2019 (UTC)
It is confirmed that King belongs to a yet unnamed race. Cdwp22 (talk) 10:26, July 8, 2020 (UTC)

Busōshoku Haki[]
King utilized Busōshoku Haki in the last chapter during one of his clashes with Sanji. On Page 9, you can see the black lightning clash between his leg and Sanji's once Sanji becomes visible again. This should be added to both King's page and the Haki page. 24.205.57.183 17:55, August 23, 2020 (UTC)
No, Oda uses a lot the black lighting, if u check the Franky vs. Senor Pink u will see black lighting on some hits. Cracker-Kun (talk) 18:00, August 23, 2020 (UTC)
Real Name[]
Which one is the most accurate to use for him? I like Arbel the most but Albel could work too. SeaTerror (talk) 15:57, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
I also prefer Arbel, but Alber works just as well. There's things like Mount Arbel which are spelled the same in Japanese as King's name (アルベル), and there's an article for Alber Elbaz which is spelled アルベール instead of アルベル. But I think since either translation technically works it would be fine sticking with Alber since that's how most people are going to know him. Would prefer Arbel like I said though. DewClamChum (talk) 16:07, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
Viz uses "Alber", so barring any evidence connecting to a different spelling, I think we should go with that. However, based on Kaido's wording I believe "King" is to be considered his current name. Awaikage Talk 16:09, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
If both are equally accurate and there's no clear etymology, we should use the spelling that Viz does. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 16:47, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
I agree with Awaikage that we should keep the article's name as King. It's not a codename like the Baroque Works members or the executive officers of the Doflamingo Pirates, it's more of a choice he took the name like how Ace choose to take Portgas as his family name or Franky continuing to use his nickname after the World Government learned his true name and joining the Straw Hats. Page Image[]
Perhaps we should replace the current images of King, both manga and anime, with that of his true appearance. Or we can just replace the manga image since its only seen there. Mugiwara1994 (talk) 01:00, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
Infobox images should show characters as they normally appear. Unless King decides to ditch the mask in the future the most appropriate identification image is one of him with the mask on. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 02:38, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
King is seen without his mask in chapter 1053 and after his true face was revealed, Oda put the latter in the character introductions at the start of the volumes and every performance was done without his mask. It therefore seems more appropriate to put him without his mask now. GoldTesoro (talk) 16:40, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
