Ginger carries two carbonated water-powered cannons on his back.[1]

Techniques[]

  • Cho Shigeki Tornado Tansan (超刺激トルネード炭酸, Chō Shigeki Torunēdo Tansan?, literally meaning "Super Strong Tornado Soda"): Ginger aims the cannons and blast red and yellow carbonated soda and they begin to twist together to form a drill to push back an opponent. This was first used against Luffy during their fight.[1] This is called Super Strong Tornado Soda in the Funimation adaptations.
  • Choko Nodo Deluxe Tansan Gas Jai (超高濃度DXデラックス炭酸ガスじゃ〜い, Chōkō Nōdo Derakkusu Tansan Gasu Jai?, literally meaning "Super Concentrated Deluxe CO2 Gas"): Ginger first compresses two of his gauntlets together, then blasts green and purple carbonated soda in the air to spread toxic gas. It was first used against Luffy, Hancock, Sandersonia, Marigold, and Gloriosa in the bath house in an attempt to poison them.[1] This is called Super Highly-concentrated Deluxe CO2 Gas in the Funimation adaptations.

History[]

Past[]

At some point in the past, Ginger joined the Cidre Guild, eventually getting promoted to the commander of its Carbonic Acid Fire Unit.[1]

Wano Country Saga[]

Cidre Guild Arc[]

Under Cidre's orders, Ginger and Guarana led an attack on the Thousand Sunny out at sea, bombarding them with Carbonated Torpedoes. Before they could sink the ship, though, the Straw Hats escaped with Coup de Burst.[1]

Later, Ginger led a Cidre Guild platoon around their island base when they ran into Luffy. The bounty hunters charged the pirate, and when Luffy evaded all the cannon blasts, Ginger used Cho Shigeki Tornado Tansan, launching him off a cliff and into a sinkhole. Ginger then led his platoon down to the bathhouse, where Boa Hancock was bathing, and confronted the Gorgon Sisters. While his subordinates were no match for the two pirates, Ginger used the cannons on his back to bust down the wall and enter the bathhouse. Inside, Ginger's men shot at Luffy and Hancock, but they were easily defeated. Desperate, Ginger put on his gas mask and set off his Choko Nodo Deluxe Tansan Gas Jai, forcing the pirates to retreat.[1]

When Cidre and Guarana were fighting Luffy and Hancock, Ginger returned with a group of his men, to Guarana's annoyance. Cidre ordered they all return to the factory, and Ginger accompanied him back. He waited outside the factory with Guarana to hold off the pirates until Cidre was ready to fight them. When the Gorgon Sisters caught up, the two officers attacked them, but Ginger was quickly hit with Hancock's Perfume Femur and turned to stone.[2]

  • Ginger fighting with two cannons on his back is similar to the Silver Mine Arc character Peseta.
