Sandgem Town (マサゴタウン, or Masago Town in the original Japanese version) is a location in the Sinnoh region; it was first introduced in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It is the home of Professor Rowan.

It is small, consisting of only five buildings, two of which include the usual Pokémon Center and Poké Mart. It is the second city that the player comes across, and is where Professor Rowan's lab is. The players second rival (Dawn if the player is male, Lucas if the player is female) lives here as well, and assists the Professor. When the player reaches Sandgem Town, he/she first goes into Rowan's Lab, where he gives the player a PokéDex, as well as the Pokémon they used at Lake Verity. The player has to get through Route 201 in order to reach here, and the town leads out to Route 202, which is the way to Jubilife City. After the player gets the National Pokédex, Dawn/Lucas's sister will tell the player if their is an outbreak of Pokémon anywhere.
