Kuruma De DS(JP) (DS in the Car in English) is a Japan-exclusive DS game for the Nintendo DS that released on July 9, 2012. It is also apart of the Mii franchise. The game itself featured Miis and also housed a Mii Maker. The cartridge features built-in Bluetooth[1] so that it can connect to select models of ECLIPSE GPS. It also features a speedometer[2] that shows how fast the car is moving and how far you are from your set destination. The game was designed to have a fun time even with long traffic jams[3]. The game also used Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection on which you could share your Mii as a "travelling Mii" and you could encounter other people's travelling Miis at Wi-Fi spots. The game was discontinued on April 3, 2017[4].

The audio from the game could be broadcasted to the car's speakers for everyone in the car to hear.

Tour guide[]

The game featured a Tour Guide, that gave information on tourist spots in the area. When you approached a famous spot while driving, the DS would give you information about a famous person that relates to that place.[6]

Local Quizzes[]

It also featured Local Quizzes, where the passengers in the car, as well as the driver could make their own Miis and use them to answer quizzes, that related on each area. On each question, the passengers would choose one of the four options and after everyone had answered, the correct answer would be shown and explained (from the car's speakers), and whoever got the answer correctly would be awarded points. You could use the points to buy souvenirs (in the game). There are over 10,000[7] unique questions for your local area

Memories[]

The game also had Memories which you could write your own memories of your drive on the map and save them.

NAVI remote control[]

The holder of the DS could remotely set the destination on the car from the DS itself. You could search the destination with handwriting and then set it on the car's GPS.
