Ivy is a playable character from Fire Emblem Engage and the Crown Princess of Elusia.
Profile[]
Ivy is the Crown Princess and eldest daughter of King Hyacinth, as well as the half-sister of Hortensia. While she had a good childhood with her father and sister, their father changed when he sought to revive the Fell Dragon Sombron. Despite this, she and Hortensia continued to follow his orders. She has two retainers: Kagetsu and Zelkov.
When the Divine Dragon Alear began reclaiming the Emblem Rings, Hyacinth directed Ivy and Hortensia to reclaim them. He gave Ivy the Ring of the Sage Lord, which she used to besiege Brodia Castle, ultimately failing and losing the ring. Hyacinth tasked her with fighting Alear's forces again, but without an Emblem Ring. After losing, Ivy begs the Divine Dragon to kill her, but they refuse, determining that Hyacinth had essentially abandoned her by sending her to fight the Diving Dragon without a ring. She leaves the battlefield.
After Hyacinth revives Sombron and is then slain by him, Alear's forces flee the Elusian castle as the Four Hounds pursue them. During this, Ivy appears, having recovered the Ring of the Lady of the Plains and the Ring of the Princess Exalt, the former of which was initially safeguarded by Elusia.
Ivy travels with Alear to Solm, where the Divine Dragon's forces meet Queen Seforia and locate Princess Timerra. When they return to the palace, they find it under sttack by Hortensia, who believes Sombron can revive their father. Ivy begins to convince Hortensia to let Seforia go, but they are interrupted by the Four Hounds, who brainwash Hortensia into fighting Alear's forces. Following the battle, Hortensia is freed and joins the Divine Dragon's forces, and Seforia forgives her and Ivy for Elusia's actions. Ivy subsequently accompanies the Divine Dragon's forces to the final battle with Sombron.
Fell Xenologue[]
Like other royals, Ivy appears in the Fell Xenologue, where her personality is drastically different. Prior to the events of the Xenologue, she had killed Hyacinth and several of her half-siblings (but not Hortensia). She commands a group of Elusian forces against Queen Timerra. In the aftermath of the battle, both Ivy and Timerra refuse to give up their Emblem Bracelets. Left with no other option, Nel turns into her dragon form and eats Ivy and Timerra alive. Nel then reveals to a shocked Alear that the Ivy and Timerra of this world, along with all other royals, were in fact Corrupted.
Like the other royals, Ivy reappears in the final battle of the Xenologue. When killed, she expresses remorse for her attitude towards Hortensia.
Personality[]
Ivy maintains a serious and quiet personality, wanting to become a good ruler of Elusia. Although she does not agree with her father's plans, she goes through with them out of loyalty. She is also deeply devoted to her half-sister Hortensia, never once looking down on her for having a concubine for a mother. Ivy is also deeply religious towards Alear after her joining of their army, considering her feelings like a patron to their deity. Despite her serious attitude, she also has a fear of ghosts, as shown in several of her supports.
The alternate Ivy from the Fell Xenologue is the complete opposite, being devoted to Sombron. This version personally executed her father and half-siblings, leaving Hortensia alive despite hating her. Despite this, she shows some regret of her attitude towards Hortensia when she is killed in the final battle.
