Famicom Bunko: Hajimari no Mori (Famicom Pocket Books: The Forest of Beginnings) is an adventure video game developed by Pax Softnica and released by Nintendo for the Super Famicom in 1999 exclusively in Japan. It was one of the last video games that the company developed. The game was re-released exclusively in Japan for the Wii Virtual Console. Nintendo was hoping that the game would become a series, though due to it being released exclusively on the Nintendo Power system, the game received very poor sales. The game being released in the middle of 1999 could also have contributed to poor sales due to the system being surpassed greatly by the much superior Nintendo 64.
Gameplay[]
The game is distinctly and probably deliberately similar to the Famicom Disk System classic Shin Onigashima, which Pax Softnica was also involved with. The game is a text adventure where the player chooses a command via a menu.
