D4 Enterprise Co., Ltd.(JP) is a video game publisher. They

History[]

They were responsible for making emulated versions of Neo Geo games available the Wii's Virtual Console service. An interview with an employee suggests that D4 is part of the conversion process of the games.[1] D4 Enterprise is also the sole official licensor for MSX games.

In 2005, D4 Enterprise acquired the rights to Compile's library, aside from Puyo Puyo, from Aiky. D4 later partnered with Compile Heart to let them create new titles from these IPs in 2010.

In 2006, D4 Enterprise acquired the rights of the Bothtec games from BBMF, including the rights to Project EGG, a service that ports classic PC games to modern hardware. In 2013, they acquired the rights to the library of HummingBirdSoft.

In 2018, D4 Enterprise made trademark applications for T&E Soft and Xtalsoft and acquired the rights to their libraries by early 2019. They also acquired to rights to catalogs of Cosmos Computer, System Sacom, Carry Lab and Winkysoft. In 2022, they worked with Laox to transfer the rights of "Brain Media" titles to them but, the actual source material and promotional materials needed an additional crowdsourcing campaign to preserve them

In 2023, D4 Enterprise started to port their Project EGG titles, emulated versions of classic PC titles, to the Nintendo Switch in a line called EGGCONSOLE.
