Botamon is a baby level Digimon, that hatched from an egg recently. His name came from coal debris (ボタ Bota), as well as Botamochi (牡丹餅?) and the womb (母胎 Botai), and as such it is a black and squishy newborn. It's very weak and can't fight well, its next form is Koromon.

Botamon is a baby level digimon and he's the only baby. Providing it doesn't die it will digivolve into Koromon in about an hour after the egg hatches.
Digimon World Dawn & Dusk[]
Botamon is #21 in Digimon World Dawn and Dusk, and is a Balance-class Dark species Digimon with a resistance to the Dark element and a weakness to the Light element. Its basic stats are 66 HP, 60 MP, 47 Attack, 32 Defense, 23 Spirit, 29 Speed, and 11 Aptitude. It possesses the Psychic 1 trait, and is treated as an In-Training Digimon.
Digimon World Championship[]
Botamon will be the first digimon that you will get. It will digivolve to Tokomon with 20 Holy AP, Pagumon with 20 Darkness AP or Koromon by passing time.
Digimon Story: Lost Evolution[]
Botamon is an In-Training Digimon and can digivolve into BlackAgumon. They can't be found in the wild due to it being in-training
