2025 is the current year after 2024. It is the eighth year for the Nintendo Switch with its successor, the Nintendo Switch 2 (revealed January 16) being planned for release early this year. So far, the most notable upcoming releases for 2025 are Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (January 16), Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition (March 20), Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (both TBA).
