Amortentia

Morning.

 I was asked to make (well, actually I volunteered) a Harry Potter wedding card for this weekend. 

 I made it for a friend at work who was going to a wedding and his wife was making a Harry Potter themed wedding cake (which looked fabulous).

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all, it's Saturday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin'. 

This week our theme is

 Antiques Roadshow 

 So dust off those old unloved stamps, you know you have some! I've gone for perhaps one of my oldest stamps and at least she has been introduced to ink before - Little Miss Attitude. She's clearly not full of festive cheer yet.... maybe she will be nearer Christmas (but I doubt it)

 You probably can't see it from the photo but I embossed her dress using the Stampin Up Square Lattice embossing folder to give it a knitted look (like I did with the jumper ATC recently!) Maybe that's the problem - her dress is scratchy.

A Bear. And Some Cake.

It's Friday - the sun is shining and I'm off on Monday, what could be better :) 

This is the last of the cards I made for my friend's wee girl today, and this is the one from her sister. I love this Ladybug Crafts image, he's so cute and was perfect for paper piecing in shades of chocolate.... perhaps I should have paper pieced the bear himself!

Relaxing Sundays?

This is a card I was asked to make for a girl who has just started a college course in Beauty Therapy. I consulted with some friends who have done it to find out what first years do so was able to put that on my wee note! I've paper pieced her pj's, dressing gown and chair, as I just loved all the dots so wanted to use more of them!!

Hello.

Soda Pop

Hello.

Gosh, another late one tonight.

I really meant to schedule this post for this morning but I completely forgot! This is the second of two birthday cards I made for my friend's daughter - this is the one from Mum and Dad.

I've used the Soda Pop image from Saturated Canary that came free on a disc with a magazine. I've used a coffee cup die to try and give her a glass of pop and used a paper straw to embellish it.

Instagram This

Hello.

Here we are at the tail end of another busy weekend. 

The boys got on well with their runs yesterday, thanks for all your good wishes. Craig did it in 19.20 and Scott came in at 13 seconds dead. The distance was 2.5k and Scott is delighted to have beaten his big brother (who started before him!)

Then last night they were at a friend's birthday party. This is the first of 3 cards I've made for Eve as I've also made the ones from her mum and dad and her sister.

She loves Instagram and taking selfies so I have used the Time for Tea Designs Selfie image and flipped her and shrunk her so she would fit in the Instaphoto die!
