Nostalgic Toy Swap - Circus elephant & paper doll

I have finished my nostalgic toy swap. I have done a paper doll and a circus elephant for each swap partner. The elephant looks really nostalgic in his fancy costume. I glued some tiny tiny no hole beads on his costume and also some feathers on his head - so I have a 3d-effect. I also printed the image mirror-inverted.

Have a great day,

Baby Shabby Chic Boutique part 24 - rocking horse

Here are photos of my rocking horse. The horse was a birthday present by Corine from Belgium (I think so 2 years ago).
1. I painted it blue (normal hobby paint) and later white (I use a white paint tester from a diy shop - I use it for everything paper, wood, plastic...and it is super cheap about 2 €).
2. than I take normal sandpaper and removed the white paint (so that you can see the blue paint/wood)
3. now it is time to paint it brown (wax). Later (so 2 minutes) I also removed the brown paint.

I like my little rocking horse. It looks so old....

Have a great sunday,
Sonja

Baby Shabby Chic Boutique part 23 - table

Here are 2 photos of my table for the baby boutique. The table is perfect for the shop. It is a little bit higher so I can put some bags and boxes under the table.
I like also the old cash register. Later I will do a pen and print out some invoices, letters.....
The table is a present by Marleen from Belgium. She did it for our shabby/brocante swap.
Danke Leen voor de erg mooie tafel!!!

Patchwork quilt

Here is a photo of my patchwork quilt. The quilt is 4 x 5,5 cm. I have done also some fabric rols. I will use the quilt and the fabric rols for my haberdashery shop.
On the net I found a tutorial for a "glued quilt":

I like the idea. Maybe a project for the Lisa/Lundby project!

Have a great day,

Minis for my Baby Boutique

New year - old project. I will finish my "Baby Boutique - Le petit Ange" and so I was looking for some minis. This is my second baby shop which I do. My old one was 1 cm to wide for my shelf and I was not really happy with the shop.

I will use some of the "old" minis for the new one. I like the little cosmetic display, the bibs, the bonnet (but I will paint the hat stand white and add also a little label "Le petit Ange" and of course the shoes. The rest is to modern.

Shoes by Bärbel Epping (it was a super x-mas present). What a pity that my cairn terrier Benny ate some of them (and that is not a joke).
He was blind and ate everything what he found on the floor!

Have a great day

My "to-do-List 2012"

Here are photos of all my ufos (unfinished projects). Next week I will start again with my "Shabby Chic Baby Boutique". I will finish my baby boutique before I fly to Birmingham (March).
I need a little garden for my Buttercup dollshouse. The dollshouse is nearly finished (so 95 %). Only some lights and some little kitchen minis for grandma are on my "to-do-list". Grandpa is interested in a potting bench, a shelf (maybe a ladder shelf), a garden bench (for a coffee break), a little garden conservatory....maybe also in a doghouse...

The bedroom of my French house is nearly finished. Now it is time for the wallpaper and flooring...
In the ground floor is a little hall (not very big for max. a chair..). Next to the hall is a little bathroom. I have a workshop kit "brocante badkamer" by Sylvia Beuker. First I will assemble the kit so I know how much space I need for the bathroom
and I will start also a special project with Eliana from Brasil. We will start with our Lundby/Lisa dollshouses. O.k. my house is more than a ruin......

A present from Belgium/Chantal

Here is a photo of Chantal's x-mas and sweet swap. The shelf is perfect for my little French house and I will find also a place for the parfum bottles. She sent me more mini x-mas cards. I put them directly in the x-mas shop so they are not on the photo.
Thank you Chantal

A little house for my pigeons...this was a special project by Sylvia Beuker(http://lutjeboudel.punt.nl) for our online dollshouse club. I think the little house is perfect for the garden of my Buttercup dollshouse.....

A romantic box for my French house

I have done this box for my French house. It was an online workshop by Marie-Louise.
Here you can find the printie:

I used the printie also for my paravent in the "Baby Shabby Chic Boutique"

My first dollshouse / a photo of me

I found a photo of me and my first wooden dollshouse. I am the girl in the red shorts (oh dear - about 5 years old). The other girl is my cousin Christine.
My cousin was the first owner of the house. Later my Dad renovated the house for me (new wallpaper, carpet, roof windows....).
The quality of the photo is not so good. As you can see the photo is from the seventies

Nostalgic carousel

I have finished the little paper carousel. I used a lot of brown paint so it looks really old. I am not 100% satisfied which the result. I will put it in an antique shop or attic.
Here is the link for the paper carousel:
