Hugh Michael Horace Dancy is a British actor who stars as E.A.D.A. Nolan Price on Law & Order, starting from the twenty-first season.
Dancy has also starred as David Copperfield in the made-for-TV film of the same name. He also had roles in Black Hawk Down, Ella Enchanted (with Cary Elwes and Vivica A. Fox), Hannibal (with Caroline Dhavernas and Hettienne Park), and The Path (with Emma Greenwell and Michelle Monaghan).
He is married to actress Claire Danes since 2009, who guest starred as Tracy Brandt on the 1992 Law & Order episode "Skin Deep". They also appeared in the final season of Homeland together (with Mandy Patinkin, Linus Roache, Tim Guinee, and Terry Serpico). They have two children together, Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy, born on December 17, 2012, and a second son, Rowan, born on August 27, 2018. On January 9, 2023, Dancy and Danes announced they're expecting their third child after Danes was nominated for a Golden Globe last month in the best supporting actress in a limited series category for her performance in Fleishman Is in Trouble. Their daughter Lynde Jayne was born on July 2023.
