I've made a card using Home Tweet Home from the Floral Delight Too digi release. This was for a good friend of mine and she loved it. Tell me what you think.....

I made this in the summer and I didn't know about the 'I need a P' challenge so there's only one P and that's 'Pink'. I really like how it turned out.

You can't really tell but there's a sprinkle of glitter on the roof of the birdhouse on the right and some of the leaves.

Be-still my heart {sigh}!!!

So.....

I'm not sure where to begin. Or how to tell you this. I've been wanting to share something with you for a long while now but couldn't. Now the time has come and I'm just overwhelmed and can't really put it into words so maybe I'll just show you.....

{screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeam} That's right...I'm going to be a Grandma!!!!!! I have been pretty vocal about my desire to be a Grandma and more than once hinted to Nicole and Ben I'd like to be one before I'm 50 and it's one of the few times one of my kids has listened and done as I've asked lolololol. I can't tell you how excited we are for this little bundle (I thought it might be twins but the scan only shows one...maybe next time ;-D) to be part of our family. In fact hubby says that I'm more excited than anyone lol. Ryan and Steven are going to be the most awesome uncles and Christmas is going to be magical once again {sigh}

Nic and Ben popped in on September 19 and handed me a gift bag and inside was the mug. It was one of the best moments of my life...I get teary every time I think of it. At that point Nicole was only 6 weeks along and I was sworn to secrecy....do you know how difficult the past weeks have been for me lol???!!! It seemed like it was THE time everyone asked when I thought they would be starting a family...did they know???? She had her scan on Thursday and once it was confirmed that the baby was healthy and growing as it should we were finally allowed to share our good news :-D

We all have a pregnancy app (who would have thunk???) on our phones so every day we can see what stage the baby is at, how it's developing or tips and advice on healthy eating etc. Mama's and Papa's here I come lol.

I haven't had a chance to make them a card yet (still haven't made them a wedding card :-S ) but I made this card for my SIL's birthday in the summer and the image would be perfect to celebrate the news of a pregnancy so watch this space!

I love how this turned out...I really like the colors and those rolled felt flowers....

make me swoon...love them!

Pretty cute huh

I wonder if QOB approves???

and a little peek at the inside.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenge:

Simply Create - Anything Goes
Brown Sugar - Anything Goes
The Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes
Stampin' for the Weekend - Anything Goes

More great news followed today....Killmarnock beat Celtic 2-0 AT Celtic...the first time in 57 years woot woot!!!

And there's more....

I won a Pampered Chef award today for Top Show Average in Scotland woot woot!!! You could have knocked me over with a feather when they said my name.

After all the excitement I'm well and truly pooped so it's just as well we get an extra hours sleep tonight.

I hope you're all having as good a weekend as I am.

TLT - Laurie's Challenge - I need a P!

Well hello and good morning, afternoon, evening lol!! We've got a fabulicious challenge for you today but before I tell you about it I want to thank everyone for their entries to Julie's Flowers and Embossing Challenge...they were FABTASTIC! We have a whole lot of winners so make sure you check out the Challenge Blog to see if you're one of them :-D

On top of the Challenge winner, winner using an LCI image and Top 3 we have 6 individual winners of one of the new Floral Delight Too images!! You must contact the Ladybug directly to claim your prize :-D

Today's challenge has been brought to you by the amazingly talented Laurie. She says she needs a P so get your thinking caps on ;-D

I've used 7 P's on my card and I think I'll let you tell me what they are and the one who lists them all or most of them by Monday October 29th will win the image!!! Some are obvious but one or two aren't so think outside the box ;-D

Here's my card...good luck!

I've used Jug & Vase from the new Floral Delight Too release. It's the first time I've colored it up and I LOVE it. As always I've colored most but not all of the image with my Copics (there's a bit of a clue to one of the P's!) I cut it out with a Nestie and stitched it to a kraft circle. I punched a border (oops...another clue....no more!)

I added pearls (hmph!) to the center of the orange flowers and Glamour Dust to the pink ones.

I treated myself to a new MFT die the other day...isn't it stunnalicious! I've used Monty Mushroom  and Natural felt...gorgeous.

I added another flower to the inside :-D I've given you a few hints as to my 7 P's so you've no excuses lol.

I hope you like my card...it was for a special Ladybug's birthday...late of course!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

ABC Challenges - New To You (MFT Die)
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Paper Piecing
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
The Crazy Challenge - Handmade Flowers
Emerald Faeries - Anything Goes

Lost and Found

I've been dipping in and out of making Christmas cards and have a stash of them now....is 10 considered a stash?? Well it's more than I've ever had made by this time of year so I'm well impressed with myself lol.

Snowman Delight are perfect for making quick cards as there is very little coloring needed so if you have a sketch in mind you can churn these babies out in no time. I've been using the same pp for the set...I've had it for years and think I bought it in Walmart when I went home for a visit.

Here's what I did with Snowballs 10 Cents....

I think he is fabulicous! Just a bit of coloring with my Copics and LOTS of Glamour Dust and he's done. I added a red button I've had in my stash for years (anyone see a pattern here??) with a bit of twine threaded through for his button and one for the snowflake center.

Gorgeous felt snowflake...

and one on the inside. Royal Mail is gonna love this one lol.

I'd like to enter the following challenges -

One Stop Craft Challenge - Anything Goes
One Stitch At A Time - Use a digi
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Did I ever tell you I lost the diamond from my engagement ring? The pictures a bit blurry but there's no mistaking the gaping hole where my gorgeous diamond used to be!

I think it was mid September and I was coming back from CB with the dogs when I glanced down at my hand on the gear shift (M Pee...our steering wheel is on the right so no I've not been drinking lol) and did a double take and felt totally sick. I turned straight around and heading back to CB. Like I was really going to find a diamond here....

I reported the loss to the police and insurance company the next day and looked for it every time I took Rocky and Ruby for a walk. Every time I saw something sparkle I was sure I'd found it but always turned out to be dew (yes I know the difference between a diamond and dew!) I checked my car, the carpark and the pockets of my jacket but nothing.

About a week later I went to the mall and reached in my pocket to get some change for a parking ticket and look what I found....

Holy moly...what are the chances???!!!!!!! It's now in the hands of Nicole (she works in Rox jewelers) and she's ordered a new setting which I should get in about 6 weeks :-D Have you ever lost anything and thought you'd never see it again? I'd love to hear your stories.

Hope you have a great weekend :-D

Birthday Boy

It was my son in law (still getting used to saying that lol) Ben's birthday on Monday and when did I make his card??? Yup...Monday lol. Lucky for me he and Nic were at work so there was no fear of them dropping in while I was mid make ;-D

I decided to go for Beer Belly Man but I want to add a disclaimer ... Ben does not resemble him in any way! Funny though...Nic bought him a card with a big bellied man on it too ;-D

I really liked the way this turned out...what do you thunk?

I found some MME Alphabet Soup pp in my stash along with Elzybells brown cs and set about cutting, mounting, diecutting and sewing. I felt some bunting was in order so used an unused Die-namics die {shock horror} I've had for months. I'm hoping it gets the Queen of Bunting's approval lol. I printed BBM on PTI's white cs (PERFECT for coloring with Copics) then again on pp to paper piece his shirt. Once colored I cut him out and mounted him on some embossed, mounted and sewed cs.

I added some GD to the beer and GA to his shoes...oooh Kerry...your cutting skills are shocking!!

Although you can't really tell I've curved the bunting for a bit of dimension, faux stitched as QOB always does this so is a must ;-D Some twine and brown nailheads complete the look

I used another Die-namics die for the sentiment

And there you have it! I love it and I don't think Ben was too offended by BBM ;-D I was in a bit of a rush and couldn't be bothered to get my photo tent out but I quite like the skirting board look don't you lol?

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
Digistamps 4 Joy - Anything Goes but bonus Masculine twist
Stamp n Doodle - Anything Goes
TandaStamps - All Things Manly

Hope you have a great weekend!

Floral Delight Too take 2 and a new product

Good morning afternoon. I'm a bit late but hopefully it will be worth it as I've got a card to show you for the Flower and Embossing challenge and a new product :-D

As I kinda got the challenge wrong last week (thanks for all that pointed it out hmph!) I thought I'd better get back into my sweatshop workshop and put it right!  I received another commission...this time for a 91st birthday card and I knew one of the Floral Delight Too images would be perfect :-D

I was inspired by Julie's card last week so I got down to business and printed and colored Tulip Watering Can with my Copics. I love all the flourishes that are about and own two or three but never seem to be able to add them to a card with total satisfaction...until now ;-D I embossed part of the white card stock with a swirly folder (think it's Sizzix) and stitched a border. A bit of mounting, ribbon and a sentiment and Bob's your uncle...job done! Oh...bet you thought I forgot the sparkle...no chance lol. I added Glamour Dust to the flowers and Glossy Accents to the Ladybugs.

You can see the GD and just about make out the GA on the ladybug

I added a double felt heart and pearl to the inside and I've been told the girl who ordered the card loved it...just hope her grandma does too :-D

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Card Mania - Happy Birthday
House of Gilli - Anything Goes
Lollipop Crafts - Happy Birthday
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
My Craft Spot - Embossing
My Grafico - Anything Goes

I mentioned a new product...well here they are...fabulicious nailheads! I've been threatening to put these on the website for a while now but Julie posted a gorgeous card today you can see here using them so had to get my skates on. Believe it or not Julie had NEVER heard of nailheads before ... go figure????

There are 5 gorgeous colors...pale turquoise, pale pink, gunmetal, green and red. You get 7.5 ml in each bag and they sell for £1.50 each. I don't know the exact amount but there are hundreds to keep you busy :-D They are hot fix so you can use your Kandi Kane or glue to stick them.

I've used the pale pink nailheads on this card for my sister

That's it from me for today...thanks for stopping by

Give a pint...

of blood. That's what I did this morning. There is a blood campaign on at the moment...perhaps they are anticipating the need over the festive season. I was reading the paper during the week and was reading a story of an accident victim needing transfusions and the number to contact if you wanted to donate. It had been about 5 or 6 years, or so I thought, since I last donated and figured it was long overdue. I had to fill in a form and to my surprise or perhaps horror it had actually 12 years since I last donated tsk tsk. My blood group is one of if not the rarest of all the groups...8% of the world population I always knew I was special lol)...A- so I feel it's extra important to donate. After my cup of tea and biscuit I made an appointment for my next donation in January and I'm going to make sure I donate at least 3 times a year :-D I inquired about donating my platelets but because I get a bit light headed afterward and my veins are quite narrow which means it takes longer to fill my bag (a guy got set up 5 minutes after I'd started and finished before me lol) I was told they probably wouldn't accept me :-(

Hubby and I were invited to an evening wedding reception last night. The bride Lauren read a reading at Nicole and Ben's wedding and the groom Chris and a friend of Nic and Ryan's sang their first song Delilah so it was nice to be included. Hubby's not one for these things...especially when Scotland were playing Wales but he sacrificed his night in front of the tell for me....awww lol.

I made Lauren and Chris a card using Bride Nikki. I know I've used  her a lot lately and I hope you're not bored of her but I LOVE her a) because she's so fabulicious and b) there's very little coloring which makes for a quick card :-D

Here's what I came up with...

It's all pretty straight forward...lots of stitching, embossing, glittering and a tiny bit of coloring. I added light pink Swarovski crystals to Nikki's hair and GA to her flowers. Glamour dust on her sleeves and ribbon add to the bling.

I cut hearts out of white felt and added a Swarovski pearl to finish it off

I hope they like it :-D The happy couple are off to Mexico via Las Vegas...bliss!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Craftymess Challenge Blog - Anything Goes
Joyful Stamper - Anything Goes
Simply Create - Anything Goes
2 Sisters - Anything Goes

Your comments for the Floral Delight Too release have been fab, thank you. I thought all the DT and GD's did an amazing job (although some of us can't read lol) and I hope gave you plenty of inspiration.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by

I'm thinking Julie's remark on the Challenge Blog was directed at me...double hmph! No worries...I'm the boss and I can just about get away with it lol.

Here's my card...

Who gives a Tossa?

No I haven't run away though sometimes I wish I could lol. Just when I think I'm catching up I end up 10 steps back. I had planned to post these pictures at the end of last week but was busy getting ready for my Pampered Chef fundraiser yesterday then the Mil and Fil arrived on Friday and time just ran away from me.

Here are the pictures from my trip to Tossa de Mar with Sadie...

Our hotel pool

The filth being read at the pool! I spotted two women reading 50 Shades of Grey who weren't bothered if anyone knew but then there were a few ipads and Kindle's about so who knows how many others were reading it lol. Personally I haven't although I have downloaded it. I started to read it a month ago but fell asleep after the 2nd page!

The first 2 1/2 days were beautiful as you can see. This is the beach in Tossa which was my favourite of the 3 beaches we went to. We went here on the first and 3rd day of the holiday and on the 2nd visit it was warm but there was a breeze and the waves were pretty rough. Lots of people were body surfing and loving it. Sadie and I were lying about 25 yards from the shore having a bit of a doze when we almost got washed out to sea by a wave!!!! Ok...slight exaggeration lol but we did get hit by the wave ... I have never seen anyone with two knee replacements move so fast lol. I was closest to the water so I got the brunt of it and I keep telling Sadie I saved her life ;-D

A 'train' took us around Tossa and luckily one of the stops was in front of our hotel which was great for Sadie

This was in Lloret de Mar ... the beach and views were spectacular but it was a town the young ones go to to party all night and sleep all day lol

Not bad for almost 82!

I plonked Sadie on the wall above so I could go off and explore

There is a market on a Thursday not far from our hotel...you can't really tell from the picture but these red peppers were HUGE...I'm sure some were at least a foot long!!

From the Wednesday afternoon until we left the clouds came and stayed. On the Friday we took a train to Santa Susanna...

For the life of me I can't remember this chaps name and although registered blind Sadie took great interest in his book lol.

As we were coming home on the Sunday we thought we might go to Barcelona on the Saturday. At  7:30 Saturday morning the room phone rings and it's reception telling me our transfer to the airport is waiting for us. I said we weren't going home until Sunday and although a bit puzzled reception said ok. I lay in bed for a few minutes then thought I'd better check the tickets...up I got...padded over to the safe .... took out the tickets and checked ... OMG...we were going home THAT day!!!! For the second time in the space of days I saw Sadie with her two artificial knees move faster than lightening lol. I couldn't work out the phone so got dressed and ran down to the reception desk saying....room 145...we ARE leaving today!!!!! He kinda smiled then said our transfer had left and we had to get a taxi....to the tune of 170 Euros ouch!! Suffice to say I think I'm sacked as Sadie's companion lol.

Never  dull moment when I'm involved lol

Don't forget our new release on Tuesday which is also the last day of the 60% off cling stamp sale!
