Stromateidae
Stromateidae sunt familia piscium classis Actinopterygiorum et cladi Pelagiariorum. Huius familiae species Pampus argenteus, P. chinensis, Peprilus burti, P. paru ad commercium capiuntur.
Fossilia generis Pinichthyis primum in Russia meridiana, recentius iuxta Rauenberg in Germania alibique reperta, stadio Rupelio attributa, abhinc annorum ad minimum 31.35 milies milium, sunt familiae Stromateidarum antiquissima.[2][3][1]
