Deutsch: Wappen des Deutschen Reiches in der Frühzeit der Weimarer Republik. Eingeführt mit der

Bekanntmachung betreffend das Reichswappen und den Reichsadler vom 11. November 1919.

»Auf Grund eines Beschlusses der Reichsregierung gebe ich hiermit bekannt, daß das Reichswappen auf goldgelben Grunde den einköpfigen schwarzen Adler zeigt, den Kopf nach rechts gewendet, die Flügel offen, aber mit geschlossenem Gefieder, Schnabel, Zunge und Fänge von roter Farbe.

Wird der Reichsadler ohne Umrahmung dargestellt, so sind das gleiche Bild und die gleichen Farben, wie beim Adler im Reichswappen, zu verwenden, doch sind die Spitzen des Gefieders nach außen gerichtet.

Die im Reichsministerium des Innern verwahrten Muster sind für die heraldische Gestaltung des Reichswappens maßgebend. Die künstlerische Ausgestaltung bleibt für jeden besonderen Zweck vorbehalten.

1928 wurde dieses Wappen durch das neue Reichswappen von Tobias Schwab abgelöst, das Theodor Heuss im Februar 1950 auch als Bundeswappen verkündete: Reichs- bzw. Bundeswappen
