Scruffy is the Noble Dog who was empowered by the Dog Talisman's magical energy after the Twelve Talismans were destroyed, granting Scruffy the power of immortality. At the end of Season 3, Scruffy lost his power to Shendu upon the latter's release from the Netherworld, but continued to live at Section 13 as Jade's pet dog.
Overview[]
Scruffy was very disobedient and once was sent to obedience school, until Jade took him out. The Chans still love him regardless, except for Uncle, who thinks animals shouldn’t be in his store.
In the Season 3 episode Re-Enter the Dragon, after Jade and then Jackie ask if Scruffy can be kept as a pet (since he was a stray when they first found him), Captain Black agreed that he had also taken a liking to Scruffy when he queried “Who else will fetch my slippers?”
Scruffy was once possessed by one of the evil Oni Masks, and given control over winged Shadow Khan. Jade gathered together the T-Troop (Eggbert, Mordecai, Super Moose, and herself) to defeat him. They eventually removed the mask, and Scruffy was freed. The episode The Amazing T-Troop was Scruffy's final appearance in the series.

Trivia[]
- Even though Scruffy stays at Section 13 as Jade's pet, he isn’t seen nor mentioned following his appearance in Season 4. He isn’t even present during Jade's birthday. Strangely, Eggbert and Mordecai are.
- Jade has suggested that Scruffy is part Sheepdog, due to his skills in herding animals.
- It is revealed in the episode Re-Enter the Dragon that Scruffy is in the habit of bringing Captain Black his slippers.
- Scruffy is the only non-human to wear an Oni Mask in Season 4.
