Fright Fight Night is the seventy-fifth and Halloween special episode of Jackie Chan Adventures.
Synopsis[]
Jackie recovers the latest Oni Mask before Tarakudo's Enforcers can get to it. El Toro and Paco visit for Halloween, but neither are aware of the dangers posed by the masks.
Plot Summary[]
High in the canyons, Jackie chisels at a cliffside and uncovers another Oni Mask. But, on the way back to Section 13, Ratso and Chow stop Jackie’s taxi so they could get the mask for themselves. Chow kicks the mask into a Halloween shop, leading to a fight in the store. Jackie flings Ratso to the wall of masks, leading everything to fall and cover the entire store floor. After Chow and Ratso kick Jackie out of the store, they search for the Oni Mask that is buried under the Halloween masks. However, Jackie managed to sneak the Oni Mask inside a skeleton mask and walks away.
Once back in Section 13, Jackie calls Uncle to tell him he will send the Mask straight to the Vault, meaning there’s no reason to make a mask removal spell this time. After the call, Jackie gets spooked by Jade’s Halloween costume of an Oni, who is determined to win the costume contest at school. As Jade drags Jackie out of his room to go trick or treating, El Toro and Paco arrive to join in on the holiday. Paco’s costume is a luchador, but his attempts to spar with Jade are halted by El Toro, who reminds him that there is no wrestling outside of the ring. However, Paco takes the message the wrong way and is disheartened when Jade calls his costume not scary. Left alone, Paco finds the Oni Mask on Jackie’s desk and is intrigued by it.
Meanwhile, Ratso and Chow are still at the Halloween shop looking for the Oni Mask, but they stop when Tarakudo appears. Tarakudo has already realized that Jackie has the Oni Mask in his possession, and he punishes Ratso and Chow by throwing the two Enforcers into coffins.
At Section 13, Jackie realizes he forgot to put the Oni Mask away but is horrified to see that it’s gone. The answer to where it went is quickly revealed as Paco is wearing the mask, completely unaware about the dark power it possesses. Jackie tries to get Paco to stay so they can remove the Mask, but Paco refuses to remove the mask due to El Toro’s rules and runs away. Paco makes it to Uncle’s Antique Shop and tries to scare the former and Tohru, but he only gets candy instead and angrily leaves. During this, Jackie calls Uncle and explains the situation, but the latter only realizes the gravity of it when he and Tohru do not see Paco out front anymore.
Having gone out on his own, Tarakudo approaches Paco and tells the young boy how he can be scary for Halloween. The next time Paco gets to a house, he has Squid Khans with him, thanks to Tarakudo telling him how to summon his tribe of Shadowkhan. Using his Squid Khan, Paco gets the man’s candy, which pleases Tarakudo as that meant Paco has passed the first test. Jackie, Jade, and El Toro confront Tarakudo, but Paco tells El Toro that he is following Tarakudo as his new idol, even calling himself “El Paco Diablo”. Surrounded by the Squid Khan, El Toro and Jackie fight the Shadowkhan as a worried Jade hopes Uncle has the mask removal spell ready.
Back at the Antique Shop, Tohru goes back and forth helping Uncle prepare the mask removal spell and tending to the trick or treaters. Unfortunately, Tohru accidentally gives one kid the key ingredient for the spell, a piece of Japanese octopus tentacle. Once Tohru and Uncle realize the mistake, they freak out.
Back in the neighbourhood, Jackie and El Toro get overwhelmed by the Squid Khan’s tentacles as Paco boasts about their power. Tarakudo sees Jade in her Oni costume and assumes that she is planning to return to his side as the Queen of the Shadowkhan. Jade tries to take advantage of the assumption by trying to command the Squid Khans, but it doesn’t work. Angry that Jade is still trying to outdo him, Paco has the Squid Khan kidnap her and away from the Jackie and El Toro. Before Tarakudo can do anything more to Jackie, El Toro throws an onion at the Oni King to drive the latter away.
Realizing that Paco took Jade to the school for the costume contest, Jackie calls Tohru and instructs him and Uncle to meet them there. However, Uncle and Tohru are looking for the kid with the tentacle, and they are dismayed to find multiple kids in ghost costumes.
Paco and the Squid Khans take Jade to the school, where he manages to scare everyone, and he wins contest. Afterwards, Paco turns to jade and menacingly goes after her to remove her “mask”. Fortunately for Jade, El Toro and Jackie comes to her aid and the former reminds Paco about the no wrestling outside the ring rule. In response, Paco has his Squid Khan create a wrestling ring so he can fight El Toro. Meanwhile, Uncle and Tohru find the kid with the octopus tentacle and do a forced swap.
Back at the school, Paco knocks El Toro around and restrains Jackie and Jade so they do not interfere. As Paco wails on El Toro, he plans on removing the latter’s mask as part of his victory. Uncle and Tohru arrive with the mask removal spell, but they are restrained, and the spell is spilled onto the floor. El Toro tries to dip his hands into the spell, but Paco has a Squid Khan restrain the former like the others. El Toro begs Paco to remove the mask and stop his rampage. El Toro’s words manage to make it to Paco through the mask’s influence, but the latter is reluctant to remove the Oni Mask as the former has always told him to never remove his own mask. However, El Toro decides to break his own rule and takes his mask off, giving Paco the confidence to remove the Oni Mask. Despite the spirit of the Oni Mask trying to keep Paco at bay, the latter fights through the influence and dips his hands into the spell before ripping it off.
Paco gives Jackie back the Oni Mask and El Toro commends the former for his strong spirit. As a token of gratitude, Jade gives Paco the trophy as tonight, he was the champ.

Trivia[]
- The title of this episode is a reference to the 1985 horror film Fright Night.
- In his Oni form, Paco refers to himself as "El Paco Diablo", which translates to "The Paco Devil".
- When Paco first meets Tarakudo, he inquires if he is The Great Pumpkin. This is a reference to the iconic 1966 animated Halloween movie It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. This is strange, as Paco grew up in Mexico and would likely not have seen it.
- However, it's possible that Paco watched it to prepare for Halloween in America, or it was someone else told him about it after he arrived in California.
