The Magnum 500 is a revolver handgun featured as a weapon in Hitman: Contracts, and minorly featured in HITMAN (2016). In the former, it is the most powerful handgun Agent 47 can acquire and use. It is based of the S&W (Smith and Wesson) Model 500 Revolver, being able to fire a .500 S&W Magnum cartridge. The weapon is also used in the latter title, exclusively by the Shadow Client.
Description[]
The Magnum 500 is a large calibered, long barrel revolver, with a 5 round cylinder, nickel finish and wood grips. It is by far the most powerful handgun in-game, only near matched by the Gold Desert Eagle, which erroneously shares the same ammunition. It is also considerably louder than other handguns, and is capable of killing 47 in only a few shots. When used, it rarely takes more than one shot to kill NPCs; often sending them flying in the process.
The dual version is obviously more powerful, capable of killing several SWAT members each reload. These can be unlocked by completing Beldingford Manor with a Silent Assassin rating.

Trivia[]
- The Magnum 500 is modeled after the Smith & Wesson Model 500 that is chambered for the powerful .500 S&W Magnum, making it the largest caliber pistol in the series.
- The dual version of the weapon is ridiculously powerful, only hampered by the guns small round capacity.
- On the PC version, with console enabled, the Magnum 500, and it's dual counterpart, can be spawned into the inventory via the command "Give magnum".
