The M4 Carbine is a variant of the M4 that appears in Hitman: Contracts.
Description[]
It is one of the rarest level-used weapons, only appearing in one level. It is an automatic weapon, and is rather powerful. It's ammo is also very plentiful. It is visually similar to the M4 featured in previous and later games.

- Deadly Cargo - Found on the SWAT team members. One rifle can be found on a table in the upstairs room in one of the warehouses. Completing this level with "Silent Assassin" rank rewards the player with the silenced version.
Trivia[]
- Unlike the real M4 Carbine, which is used by the U.S. military, the M4 in game doesn't have the step-down barrel which allows attaching a full-length M203 40mm grenade launcher. It is used by tactical police units in many countries.
- Like with most silence or dual variants, the silenced version is not found in game and only legitimately awarded by the method stated.
- The M4 could be seen in cut-scenes from trailers of Hitman: Absolution, though the weapon doesn't appear in the game and the scenes from the trailer were not included in the game.
- This rifle and it's suppressed variant can be acquired on PC by using the cheat "GiveM4".
- Hitman: Contracts is the only classic game to solely use the carbine variant of the M4.
