George James Botsford était un pianiste et compositeur américain de musique ragtime. Né en 1874 dans le Dakota du Sud, il publia son premier morceau en 1899, un cake-walk intitulé The Katy Flyer. Sa pièce la plus célèbre est Black and White Rag en 1908. Il décéda en 1949, à l'âge de 74 ans à New York.
