Escape from the Church, To the Attic, and Rescue Aerith are quests in Chapter 8, "Budding Bodyguard", in Final Fantasy VII Remake. After clashing with Reno, Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough are taken to the back room of the church, and must flee.
Walkthrough[]
Follow Aerith up the stairs, at which point she will suggest using the ladder at the attic at the back. Use the stairs at the lower-right corner of the church at the back of the church and then run forward to the ladder, at which point Aerith will be shot down and fall.
Talisman treasure.
To rescue her, Cloud needs to run to the gap on the balcony, hang onto the wall, and move left, forward, and right to break the chandelier. After this, meet up with Aerith, and then follow her around the upper floor. After the Whispers save Aerith from falling, the player can find stairs. Descending finds a chest for Talisman. Help her move the shelf and then use the ladder to escape.
In the attic, move forward and obtain the smelling salts from the treasure chest on the left 
, then follow Aerith around to the exit, leading into "Head for the Station".
