Tanker is a boss in Final Fantasy X. During Sin's attack on Dream Zanarkand at the start of the game, Tidus and Auron will engage in three battles. The final one will be against the Tanker and Sinscales.

The Tanker becomes targetable on Auron's 2nd or Tidus's 4th turn. If Auron notices it, the required number of hits to destroy it will be (8 - (number of player turns before the Tanker spawned)), thus varying from 4 to 6. If Tidus notices it, it will take 3 hits to destroy, with no regard to turns.
It is impossible to Overkill the Tanker under normal circumstances. Hacking the game shows that it constantly regenerates HP, and using an ability like Blitz Ace will move past the hit threshold, though using an ability like Spare Change or a Lightning Gem will still destroy it. The Tanker also has a Sensor description, although it's not possible to see it under normal circumstances.
