Samurai Rising was an action role-playing game for iOS and Android devices, developed and published by Square Enix.[2] It features job classes from the Final Fantasy series such as Dragoon and White Mage and variations of classic Final Fantasy enemies such as Malboros and Bombs; all depicted in feudal Japanese style. The game also features artwork by Sei Matsuura and music composed by Masayoshi Soken.[3] The game was shut down by Square Enix on June 14, 2017. Quality concerns and difficulties maintaining satisfactory service quality were cited as reasons.[4]
