Manticore (Final Fantasy)

The Manticore, also known as the MANTICOR, is an enemy from Final Fantasy. It appears in the Flying Fortress and in the northwestern regions of the world map. It appears in groups of up to four. Its Poison Darts ability can inflict Poison on the entire party.

Etymology[]

[view · edit · purge]The manticore is a Persian legendary creature similar to the Egyptian sphinx. It has the body of a lion, the head of a human, and the tail of a scorpion. The name means "man eater".
