A nine-tailed terror also known as the "black fox". Technically, it has one tail and eight butt-swords, but let's not nitpick.
Mirage Manual entry
Kyubi is a Mirage in World of Final Fantasy. In the game's postscript, "Turn Those Corners Up", a Kyubi is fought as a boss in Icicle Ridge, when Lann and Reynn are required to track one down as Kyubis possess souls similar to Tama's, of which is required to bring her back to life. After defeating the Kyubi in Icicle Ridge, the player can fight it again at The Coliseum in the "Bad Fox! Bad Fox!" match.
