Flanitor is an enemy in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It is often fought alongside Personal Guards in Yusnaan city areas. After the completion of the main quest in Yusnaan, they can be found on the Palace Grounds. Its monster notes are found in Central Avenue.
Flanitors heal themselves and anyone near them. The player can attack the Personal Guard, and when the Flanitors gather around him to heal, use Blitz to kill the group at once. Fire-elemental abilities also make quick work of Flanitors before they use Rescue.

Etymology[]
Flanitor is a portmanteau of "flan" and "janitor." Flan is a recurring enemy type in the series.
The word Flan refers to an open pastry or sponge cake containing a sweet or savory filling. A typical flan of this sort is round, with shortcrust pastry, usually coated with sweet syrup. It is similar to a custard tart or a South African melktert.
