Leader of Beck's Badasses, a gang based on the area around the collapsed road. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, he's especially bad at sizing up the strength of his enemies. His special ability is feigning knowledge of things.
Enemy Intel
Beck is an easy storyline mini-boss in Final Fantasy VII Remake. He is fought in the Collapsed Expressway and the Corneo Colosseum in Chapter 9, "The Town That Never Sleeps", alongside his buddies Burke and Butch. The three are also fought in the odd job "The Price of Thievery". The trio are unremarkable and should be easily defeated.

Battle[]
Beck and his Badasses are slightly more powerful versions of the regular Bandit. They charge at the player with their various melee weapons, and are able to steal gil, although this will be recovered when they're defeated. Bandits can lay traps around the battlefield that stun characters who touch them for 10 seconds, leaving them vulnerable. Despite these various tools, bandits are frail enemies that can be quickly staggered with magic attacks.
Much like most of the human enemies, they are weak to Fire.
Strategy[]
Area of effect abilities can easily dispatch them. Cloud's Triple Slash works well and can easily pressure all three Badasses at once. Due to their minimal Magic Defense, Magnify Materia paired with Fire Materia is potent against groups of them; using First Strike Materia and/or Whistlewind Scarf lets the player start the battle with ATB already filled to launch with a magnified spell. Cloud can take the thieves' focus so Aerith can destroy them from a distance, while paying attention to their stun traps.
On the colosseum, magnified Fira can easily dispose of the three Badasses and the other Corneo Lackeys fighting alongside them. Aerith can be equipped with Synergy Materia and Fire to constantly launch spells while Cloud spams Triple Slash.
For "The Price of Thievery" odd job the same tactics apply, but it is important to pay extra care to not step on the stun traps, since Cloud will have no back-up without Aerith, making him vulnerable to damage. It is best to defeat Beck, Burke, and Butch first with magnified Firas, and then focus on the Grungy Bandit.
Hard Mode[]
On the hard difficulty, the battles are not significantly harder than in a normal playthrough, but it is crucial to save or restore MP. Aerith can use Soul Drain offensively, and any spells she uses should be on materia paired with MP Absorption Materia. It is best to avoid healing during the colosseum and instead use the bench in the dressing room between matches to restore health. If not directly controlled, Cloud can use Provoke Materia to protect Aerith, and she can equip First Strike and/or Whistlewind Scarf to open matches with Arcane Ward and a powerful spell.
For the "Price of Thievery", fire materia is ideal with Elemental Materia to save MP. Cloud can also equip Parry Materia and Steadfast Block Materia and remain in Punisher Mode and simply guard the entire time, after casting Regen, to counterattack Beck, Burke, and Butch while dodge-rolling (remaining in Punisher Mode if Parry materia is equipped) to avoid the Grungy Bandit. Counterstance can be used in-between.
