The Achelon, also known as Sybaritic, is an enemy in Final Fantasy V. It will usually appear along with the Orukat and the Great Dragon in the caves area of the final dungeon.
Achelon can petrify using its Evil Eye attack, and can also use Dischord, halving players levels and weakening them. It is susceptible to Level 4 Graviga and Level 2 Old.

Etymology[]
Achelon may be a mistranslation of Acheron. In ancient Greek mythology, Acheron was known as the river of woe, and was one of the five rivers of the Greek underworld.
The word sybaritic is an adjective pertaining to a devotion to luxury or sensuous pleasure. The term Sybaritic also pertains to everything related to that of Sybaris and its people.
