English: A full-page newspaper advertisement published in the New York Times on March 29, 1960. It was paid for by the Committee to Defend Martin Luther King and the Struggle for Freedom in the South. The advertisement was also used as an exhibit from the court cases Abernathy v. Patterson (1961) involving Martin Luther King Jr. and New York Times Co. v. Sullivan (1964).
