Recent edit reversion
[edit]In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.
I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.
I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 15:54, 17 January 2022 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:Billie Sparks Portrait.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Billie Sparks Portrait.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 8 February 2024 (UTC)

14 novembre (talk) 🇮🇹 14:43, 30 March 2024 (UTC)AfC notification: Draft:National Adult Literacy Agency (Ireland) has a new comment
[edit]May 2024
[edit]Hi Collegerd2000cork! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Irish Writers Union that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thanks for the continued improvement work on the IWU article (and the new articles, notable Praxis). But please, to help those who monitor, don't use the Minor Edits tick box except for the most minor of changes (tiny typos, invisible text fixes, etc.) - in the last case, sentences and references were added, and that's definitely not minor. On the additions, I will leave them as-is for now, but I do wonder if, for example, A.P. Quinn is notable enough to be mentioned in the article, out of all the IWU's history. SeoR (talk) 08:22, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, another useful addition to the article - but again tagged as "minor" when it patently is not. Please stop using this indicator unless you are very sure the edit is as described above - if there is any substantive text addition, it is never minor. Thanks, SeoR (talk) 00:44, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- And again - the edit re. Edna O'Brien, and the citation, are good. But you tagged these substantive additions as "minor" when they are not. Maybe just stop using the "minor edit" tag for now, pending a chance to read up on its meaning / usage? Thanks, SeoR (talk) 11:26, 30 July 2024 (UTC)

Velella Velella Talk 22:37, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Deletion discussion about Billie Sparks
[edit]Hello Collegerd2000cork, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Billie Sparks, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Billie Sparks.
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Clearfrienda}}
. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

[edit]Hi. If you have previously edited under another (now blocked) Wikipedia profile, then you should move for that profile to be unblocked. Rather than creating yet another new profile or profiles. Guliolopez (talk) 10:20, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
The article John Carroll (political administrator) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Guliolopez (talk) 21:31, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
- Note that this proposed deletion has been contested, and the article has been moved to draftspace at Draft:John Carroll (political administrator) with the reason given being "There is insufficient sourcing to support the text. Not to mind a claim to notability. The content is promotional and discursive in tone. Article is NOT ready for main space." SilverLocust 💬 14:12, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
Editing policies
[edit]Hi. Can you please:
- WP:COI. Stop editing articles on subjects/orgs with which you have an association. Especially where you have not declared that association.
- WP:BE. Stop creating additional profiles, following a block, to do so. Especially when it has been made clear (multiple times) that the correct approach is to request an unblock of your previous profile(s).
Escalation next. Thanks. Guliolopez (talk) 13:22, 16 June 2024 (UTC)
