WYSS is an American radio station, broadcasting at 99.5 FM in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The station broadcasts a Top 40 (CHR) format as Yes FM. The station launched as "Yes FM", with a CHR format, in 1985.

History

Yes FM's programming shifted briefly from mainstream CHR to Hot Adult Contemporary in the early 2000s, with hip-hop and rhythmic titles played only at night (if at all), but the station has since returned to a straightforward CHR sound.

The morning show is called the "Soo Morning Crew" and features Tim Ellis and Lissa (Melissa Krahnke) along with news director Scott Nason. Krahnke continues on the air solo until 3pm. Jason Mapes holds down afternoon drive from 3pm -7pm and Paul VanWagoner (Junior) hosts evenings 7pm - Midnight.

According to the latest Arbitron Ratings, WYSS is the most listened to station in Chippewa County for ages 12-45.

WYSS also carries American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest, Rick Dees' Weekly Top 40, Romeo's Playhouse and Open House Party.

The station is owned by Northern Star Broadcasting.
