Giuffria
Giuffria was a melodic rock band formed by keyboardist Gregg Giuffria, that had one hit single, "Call to the Heart," in 1984.
Giuffria put the band together in the early '80s, after his previous band, Angel, broke up, with vocalist David Glen Eisley, guitarist Craig Goldy, bassist Chuck Wright, and drummer Alan Krigger. They signed to MCA Records, and released a self-titled album in 1984, which did moderately well, spawning one hit single, "Call to the Heart." Goldy was replaced by guitarist Lanny Cordola, and Wright was replaced with bassist David Sikes, by the time Giuffria's next album, Silk + Steel, was released in 1986. It sold even worse than the previous album, and resulted in Giuffria being dropped from MCA the next year.
The band then quietly disbanded, and Giuffria formed another band, House of Lords.
