Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sherbro. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Windows 8, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Codename Lisa (talk) 17:40, 22 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Windows 8, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Codename Lisa (talk) 10:24, 23 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Twice now you have accused me of making edits in bad faith. I have neither removed content that was not present elsewhere on the page nor blanked any portion of the article. Named references are named to avoid duplication not encourage it. Please explain why you find this edit controversial. Haakonsson (talk) 14:28, 23 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
So, you were trying to consolidate duplicate citations. I see now. Thanks for the explanation. Next time, please put it in your edit summary. Not providing edit summary and doing a low quality job often brings about these warnings.
"Twice now you have accused me of making edits in bad faith." No, I didn't. I said "do not remove content [...] without giving a valid reason".
Best regards,

OrphanReferenceFixer: Help on reversion

edit

Hi there! I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. Recently, you reverted my fix to American Beauty/American Psycho.

If you did this because the references should be removed from the article, you have misunderstood the situation. Most likely, the article originally contained both <ref name="foo">...</ref> and one or more <ref name="foo"/> referring to it. Someone then removed the <ref name="foo">...</ref> but left the <ref name="foo"/>, which results in a big red error in the article. I replaced one of the remaining <ref name="foo"/> with a copy of the <ref name="foo">...</ref>; I did not re-insert the reference to where it was deleted, I just replaced one of the remaining instances. What you need to do to fix it is to make sure you remove all instances of the named reference so as to not leave any big red error.

If you reverted because I made an actual mistake, please be sure to also correct any reference errors in the page so I won't come back and make the same mistake again. Also, please post an error report at User talk:AnomieBOT so my operator can fix me! If the error is so urgent that I need to be stopped, also post a message at User:AnomieBOT/shutoff/OrphanReferenceFixer. Thanks! Hi. Check out my user page userboxes alignment to see if that is something like what you want. I also struggled with the alignment at first. Thinker78 (talk) 18:05, 4 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
