Description During a test of the effects of Kinetic Energy Weapons (KEW) at the General Motors-Delco test facility, a seven gram Lexan (polycarbonate plastic) projectile was fired from a light gas gun at a velocity of 23,000 feet per second (≈7000 m/s) at this cast aluminum block. The wooden scale is calibrated in inches (1 in = 25.4 mm).
