Cole Desmond Kpekawa (born 20 May 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Championship side Barnsley

Club career
Queens Park Rangers
Having joined Queens Park Rangers academy in 2005 Kpekawa worked his way through the ranks and signed a 2-year scholarship at the age of 16. Kpekawa featured for QPR at Under-18 and Under-21 levels.[2] In April 2014, Kpekawa signed his first professional contract on a one-year contract.[3] On 12 August 2015 Kpekawa made his competitive QPR debut in a 0–3 win against Yeovil Town in the first round of the 2015–16 Football League Cup, he played the whole game.[4]
Colchester United (loan)
Kpekawa joined League One side Colchester United on loan in November 2014 from Queens Park Rangers.[5] He made his Football League debut against Coventry City at the Colchester Community Stadium in a 0–1 League One defeat on 22 November 2014.[6] After making four appearances at Colchester United, Kpekawa's loan spell with the club was extended until 24 January 2015.[7]
Portsmouth (loan)
On 19 March 2015 Kpekawa was loaned to Portsmouth until the end of the season.[8] He made his debut on 21 March 2015 in a 1–0 defeat against AFC Wimbledon where he played the whole 90 minutes.[9] On 20 April 2015 Kpekawa was recalled from his loan at Portsmouth by QPR, he made a total of two appearances.[10]
Leyton Orient (loan)
On 19 November 2015, Kpekawa joined Leyton Orient in League Two on an initial one-month loan deal.[11] His loan was extended in December, and again in January to last until 1 March 2016.[12] Kepkawa was recalled from loan by parent club QPR on 1 February 2016.[13]
Barnsley
On 31 August 2016, Kpekawa singed a 3 year deal with Barnsley.[14]
International career
On 3 September 2015, following an injury to Kean Bryan of Manchester City, Cole was called up to the England U20 squad for the match against the Czech Republic.[15] On 5 September 2015 he made his international debut, as the Czech Republic were defeated 5–0. Cole featured the full 90 minutes.[16]
On 4 October 2015 he was again called up to the U20 squad for Mercedes-Benz Elite Cup in Germany, where they would play Netherlands, Turkey and Germany.[17]
