Crafty Meraki - September 30th 2020

Hello friends! I am back with my Crafty Meraki inspiration post. Today I have made a card using Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Rose. I wanted to keep my card simple and focus only on the floral details.

Let me show you what I made...
I stamped the image using Inkon3 Fade Out ink and then Pencil colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils.
Grey card stock is one of my favorite colors when I have to color with pencils. It makes it colors pop beautifully. I also added some splatter for interest. To finish I stamped the sentiment.

Here is a final look one more time. This set is incredibly versatile, I will share more ideas later :)

Let me show you the card I made. I went with a super simple card. Since Fall is all around me, I was inspired by that...

I stamped the cup and water colored it with Distress Oxide inks. I also stamped the leaves in distress oxide inks and water colored those too. To finish I added the splatter and the sentiment.


I am not much of a coffee person but I do love trying new flavors in coffee. Hope you enjoyed your coffee today! I believe adding Fall leaves is just enough for the card :) what do you think? I have used Leafy, Coffee Happy, Thank you Coffee

SPELLBINDERS - Stamp Camp Collection by Jane Davenport

 Hello dear friends! I feel so thrilled to be guesting with Spellbinders again. Today I am sharing the cards I created featuring the newest  Stamp Camp Collection by Jane Davenport I absolutely love these gorgeous ladies featured in the stamp collection. I have created cards featuring the sets "Singing Mermaids" and "Queen of Everything Clear Stamps"

Let me show the cards I created :)

For my first card, I used the"Singing Mermaids" set. Mermaids... underwater scene is all I wanted to make and what could best represent the sea other than water coloring. 

I stamped the mermaids and few with their tails across the lower edge to indicate they are diving into deep see :) I did leave some area light to indicate some kind of glow or light around the mermaids

For my second card, I used the  "Queen of Everything Clear Stamps" set. When I saw the mirror in this set, I had to make a mirror image. I stamped the mirror image first [using Waffle Flower Water media Media Mat] and then stamped the mirror and the actual image of the woman.

I then water colored and added a little shimmer :) I also distressed the edges and adhered it on the panel.

This is a fun shaker card, the background was made with ghosting technique. The leaves were stamped and pencil colored following the no line coloring technique. I used Leafy, Skinny Sentiments, All Blooms, Sunshine Yellow Shaker blends and Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies

Let me show you my third Inspiration project for September 2020...
This card is something different, another experimental piece. I used Distress reinkers for my background and did partial stenciling to add more interest to the background. The focal image was heat embossed and watercolored. I also added some gold splatter.  I used Funny Kinda Love, Mosaic in Squares – ARTplorations Slimline stencil. I used Distress Reinkers - Mustard Seed, Salty Ocean and Picked Raspberry and Distress Oxide inks for stenciling. Gansai Tambi Water colors for the image.

The closeup shows the details of my coloring and those gorgeous inks :)


It's my anniversary this month, so I guess a lovey dovey card was a must ;)

Crafty Meraki - September 9th 2020

Hello friends! I am back with my Crafty Meraki inspiration post. Today again I made a couple of cards using the Altenew's Bergenias Builder Stamp Set. This time I decided to make clean and simple cards and use just the individual flowers in this set. Trust me this set has huge potential, you can do so much!!

Let me show you what I made...
Like I said I went with clean and simple and also some no line water coloring :)
For both my cards I used individual flowers I did some masking to build my design. I wanted to keep it one layer.



I stamped the images with Distress Oxide inks and used the same ink pads to color. I used Tattered Rose and Victorian Velvet for my flowers and Crushed Olive and Bundled sage for the leaves or the green background. I did water coloring using Altenew Brush Pen which is pretty convenient :)


For added depth, I used Prisma color pencils and my Micron Illustrator pen for the floral centers. I also added a little splatter of green ink. Finished my cards with stamping the sentiment in black.

Here is a final look one more time. This set is incredibly versatile, I will share more ideas later :)

Let me show you my second Inspiration project for September 2020...

I am back with another clean and simple card but this time I did some water coloring :) Pairing gold and green is a fantastic idea, I did the same for my card. Heat embossed the leaves, over lapping each other. did some loose water coloring and die cut the sentiment and adhered it back following inlaid technique. I used Leafy, Thanks Word Die  and Thank you Coffee [for sentiment] and for coloring Gansai Tambi Watercolors.
The closeup shows the details of my coloring and die cutting. Dimension was added using some black foam sheet.

Let me show you my first Inspiration project for September 2020...
This card features the newest Slimline stencils. I did ink blending with Distress Oxide inks to make my leafy fall background. To add more interest, I simply stamped the leaf image and did no line pencil coloring. I used Leaf Prints 4 – ARTplorations Slimline stencil, Leafy and Thank you Coffee [for sentiment] for coloring Prismacolor pencils.
