Emit Force (放つフォース) is a miracle in Dark Souls.

Availability[]

Siegmeyer of Catarina gifts the player this miracle in Firelink Shrine after helping him out in Anor Londo. The player must answer "yes" to his question.

General Information[]

Upon casting, players will charge up an energy ball and release it. It will travel a short distance in a straight line before exploding with a fairly large area of effect, that creates a shockwave on impact that causes damage, and can knock down or stun enemies. This shockwave deflects projectiles such as arrows, Crystal Soul Spears, and firebombs similar to Force and Wrath of the Gods. This spell also benefits from miracle synergy in terms of its magic damage in an incremental way by 0.1 for every miracle synergy level of of its 2.4 MagAdjust modifier. The range for the spell is minimal, shorter than other offensive spells like Lighting Spear or the Soul arrow variants, but it is slightly longer than any weapon can reach.

Overview[]

Emit Force is useful in PvE as a way of greeting a larger group of weak enemies. It is also good against stronger enemies as it can often stun them.

In PvP, Emit force can be tricky to use owing to its inordinately long casting time, but this is slightly compensated for by its very large area of effect. Emit Force may best be used in narrow corridors to limit opponents' options. In terms of hitting an opponent, it is often best to 'dead aim' (i.e. not be locked onto your target) Emit Force and instead direct it manually towards your target or where your target is likely to dodge, as the large projectile and area of effect makes hitting non-aimed targets slightly easier.
