Is this image even a candidate for copyright? The Confederate Flag is very very old, too old to still be covered by copyright anywhere in the world, and the creator of this image has merely reproduced it. For example, File:Confederate Rebel Flag.svg is a public domain image of the same flag. The only substantive difference is that the colors are slightly changed, but changing two colors isn't enough to make something copyrightable, I wouldn't think. --Douglaspperkins (talk) 07:26, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Probably, but it doesn't make too much difference -- the JPEG file format by its nature is unsuitable for such flags, and this image should not be used... AnonMoos (talk) 08:06, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
