Description
English: Whaling in the Faroe Islands. These are Atlantic White-sided Dolphins, on a concrete-floored dock at a small port called Hvalba, which is in the Faeroe Islands, located between the UK and Iceland. They've been caught for food, as has been done for at least a thousand years. Birds surround them, just not in the picture.

Deutsch: Walfang auf den Färöer Inseln. Dies sind Atlantische Weißseitendelfine auf einem betonierten Dock in einem kleinen Hafen namens Hvalba auf den Färöer-Inseln, die zwischen dem Vereinigten Königreich und Island liegen. Sie wurden zur Nahrungsaufnahme gefangen, wie es schon seit mindestens tausend Jahren üblich ist. Sie sind von Vögeln umgeben, nur nicht auf dem Bild.
