Español: «Las letronas» es una escultura realizada en acero que está instalada en el puerto deportivo de Xixón. Fue realizada por encargo de Paz Fernández Felgueroso, alcaldesa de la ciudad, al objeto de que la ciudad dispusiera de uno de sus símbolos en tres dimensiones. La ubicación de la estatua,de unas diez toneladas de peso, fue decidida por los gijoneses a través de Internet. Se inauguró en marzo de 2011.
English: "Las letronas" is a sculpture made of steel that is installed in the Xixón marina. It was commissioned by Paz Fernández Felgueroso, mayoress of the city, in order for the city to have one of its symbols in three dimensions. The location of the statue, weighing about ten tons, was decided by the people of Gijón through the Internet. It opened in March 2011. |
