Description
Svenska: Denna dopfunt kommer från Gustav Adolfs kyrka i Habo, Västergötland. Troligtvis tillhörande den medeltida föregångaren på samma plats, som den nuvarande från 1630-talet. Figurerna föreställer Kristus på korset med en man som räcker honom en bägare. Man ser också en ryttare i strid med ett odjur och ett vilddjur som biter sig i ryggen. På stenens yta finns spår efter den ursprungliga bemålningen. Dopfunten stod nära ingången, det odöpta barnet fick inte komma längre fram i kyrkan. Från början sänktes hela barnet ner (därför djup funt), senare fick det vatten bara på huvudet. Funtar med uttömningshål anses äldst. Det använda vattnet fick rinna ner i kyrkogrunden. Dopfunten tillhör Västergötlands museum i Skara och uppvisades på Falbygdens museum, med utställningen Falbygdens medeltida kyrkor sommaren 2010.
