Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde am 9. November 1506 von Herzog Albrecht IV. von Bayern verliehen. Die bayerischen Rauten im Schildhaupt erinnern an die wittelsbachischen Landesherren. Die Lilien auf dem Dreiberg, wurden unterschiedlich gedeutet, als stängelloser Enzian und als Hinweis auf die Lage des Ortes oder, ausgehend von der Bezeichnung im Wappenbrief, als symbolische Darstellung der Bürgertreue oder des Marktrechts (Lilie als Rechtssymbol). 2006 wurde das Wappen überarbeitet und statt der enzianähnlichen Blüten, Lilienblüten gewählt. English: The arms were granted on November 9, 1506 by Duke Albrecht IV of Bavaria. All later seals and images show the same arms.
The chief shows the lozengy shield of the Wittelsbach family. The lower part shows three natural lilies on a mountain. The lilies are likely a symbol of justice and thus a symbol for the local court. It may also have been that the lilies are gentians, a typical flower for the mountainous arera. In 2006 the were overworked. The flowers changed from gentians to lilies. |
