The reason for the unusual form of the dam is unknown to me. In Haraldssund, the entrance to the 3km one-lane tunnel to the 'bygd' of Kunoy is visible, as well as a quarry on Borðoy, and some aquaculture rings in the water. Taken from an Atlantic Airways helicopter set off for Fugloy.
