Summary
[edit]DescriptionCamouflaged caribbean spotted scorpionfish.jpg |
The caribbean spotted scorpionfish relies on camouflage to catch its unsuspecting meals. Sitting on the sea bottom, they look like algae-covered stones, earning them the nickname "stonefish." By leaving its mouth open, this fish allows you to easily see through its disguise. This picture was shot in 2005 in the warm waters of Curacao, Netherland Antilles. See me BIG! |
