Description

Start planning you trip to this North (North) East Washington State recreational paradise -- the Boundary Reservoir Area! The BLM has two recognized primitive camping sites (BLM Recreation Area and Ledbetter Cove) and another that is being developed. They are all up and down the west bank of the Pend Oreille (Pondaray) River's Boundary Reservoir.

Recreation activities include motorized and non-motorized boating, swimming, fishing, picnicking, camping, hiking and nature viewing. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The sites are open year-round. There are no facilities or services available other than a fire ring and picnic table at BLM Recreation Area.

Access is by watercraft only and most boaters put in at the Seattle City Light boat launch/campground that is also known as Forebay and is located next to Boundary Dam. Boaters should contact Seattle City Light to learn of planned water releases over Boundary Dam which can cause water levels to change.
